Up! Chamber music camp

The Up! Summer Chamber Music Camp provides students with an intensive 6 day experience in chamber music. The camp is open to violinists, violists, cellists and pianists grades 8 and up.   

Session Dates:  

• Session 1-July 7-12, 2025
• Session 2-August 4-9, 2025

Application Deadline:   

• May 2, 2025

Each participant will be placed in a chamber music group based on their age and level, and will receive three coachings in their group with me throughout the week. All classes are held at my home studio in Amherst. Groups will  get together independently in between coachings at student homes. There will be two group classes when all groups will play for each other and be coached by me. Students will observe and reflect on the skills of chamber music they are learning. There will also be a field trip to Tanglewood and a pizza party. The week will culminate in a final concert  on the final Saturday followed by a potluck supper held at the Amherst Women's Club.

Interested applicants must complete an application with the required audition videos (see audition requirements below) and pay tuition in full before registration is complete. Please note, I will do my best to place everyone who applies in a group but as I can only accept four groups I may not be able to accommodate everyone. In this case, I will refund your tuition in full no later than one week after the application deadline.

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday-Each group meets during one of four 90 minute rehearsal blocks either in the morning or afternoon
• Tuesday-Day to meet independently with your group at one of your homes
• Thursday-10-12pm Group Class, for all groups.

                  12-1pm-PIZZA PARTY!

                  1pm-leave for field trip to Tanglewood.

                  6pm-Arrive back at my studio

• Saturday-2-4pm-Group Class for all groups.

                  4:30pm-Concert followed by potluck supper
